Ella Baker was an influential civil rights activist who wanted change for her piers and the following generations. She was a strong leader who made sure that her voice was heard. She worked closely with Martin Luther King Jr. and with his help she was able to work hard to make a change for all African-Americans. Baker was given a nickname "Fundi" which means that she was a person who passes down a craft to the next generation. She continued to fight for what she believed in for the rest of her life.
