Family Collage
1. The overall meaning of my piece is family and to enjoy every second you have with them. I reflected this meaning by using the Panama flag as my focal point since that is where my dad is from. I then added pictures of family and friends and certain things that represent Panama. I also added certain things that represented Minnesota since that is where my mom is from.
2. Some of the elements and principles of design that I included was contrast (I wanted to focus on a black/white and color theme.) I also used different sizes for my pictures and made sure that my focal point was the largest image on the collage.
3. The main obstacle that I had faced was that I had a plan and then realized that it wasn't going to work out how I would've liked. I originally had two focal points, but then changed that so I could do the collage properly. A success that I encountered was that I planned out every little detail that I could. I wanted to make sure that I was prepared and not just putting pictures in random places on my paper.
